By entering Destination Greater Victoria’s WestJet Touchdown Pacific Contest, you could be eligible to win the following prizes: Residents of Canada could win a five (5) night, six (6) day return trip to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, with accommodation and air fare voucher for up to four (4) to attend WestJet Touchdown Pacific festivities in Victoria, BC, for an extended weekend, with the marquee tailgate and football game taking place on August 31st, 2024.
The winner and up to three (3) guests will be provided with 5 nights, 6 days in Victoria included in their prizing, with return flight voucher for up to four people with WestJet ($2,720), accommodation arranged through Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites ($2,995), a Half-Day Whale Watching Tour for four with Eagle Wing Whale & Wildlife Watching Tours ($636), admission to the Royal BC Museum & IMAX 3D Documentary Film at IMAX Victoria ($152), a $150 Gift Card to Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub, a $250 credit for Fireside Grill, a $500 CAD Prepaid Visa Gift Card, and four tickets to attend the WestJet Touchdown Pacific and Tailgate Party festivities ($500), totalling an estimated value of $7,903 CAD.
The prizes must be used between August 29th and September 3rd, 2024, for the WestJet Touchdown Pacific weekend.
The contest begins on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. PDT (the Beginning Date) and close on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. PDT (the Closing Date). The winner will be selected at random on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from all eligible Canadian entries that have fully completed the contest entry form (tourismvictoria.com/touchdown-contest). The winner will be notified via phone call and via e-mail. If the winner doesn’t claim their prize by Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. PDT, a new winner will be drawn and contacted. This process will continue until the winner is confirmed.
Filling out the entry form gives consent to Destination Greater Victoria and our agency partners in safeguarding your submitted information. Destination Greater Victoria and our agency partners are taking careful precautions to ensure that all data regarding the WestJet Touchdown Pacific Contest is kept secure and private. This contest is in not sponsored, endorsed or administered by WestJet. You understand that by participating in the contest you are providing your information to Destination Greater Victoria. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the contest must be directed to Destination Greater Victoria and not WestJet.

1. DATES
The Contest will begin on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 (the “Beginning Date”) at 12:00 p.m. PDT. The Contest will end at 4:00 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 (the “Closing Date”). The winner will be selected at random in Victoria, BC on July 31, 2024, no later than three (3) hours after the close of the contest, from all eligible entries from Canada that have filled in the contest landing page’s Contest Entry Form. The winner will be notified by phone call, and if no answer, by e-mail. If the winner doesn’t claim their prize by Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. PDT, a new winner will be drawn and contacted.
The prize can be used between Thursday, August 29, 2024, and Tuesday (hotel check-out and flight), September 3, 2024, only.

2. ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to any resident of Canada 19 years of age or older who enters the Contest by filling in the Contest Entry Form. Form fields are mandatory for entry into the contest. Filling out the form fields gives Destination Greater Victoria and our agency partners the right to promote, market and advertise our Services as well as those of affiliated partners. This includes email marketing campaigns. You may opt-out of receiving marketing messages by using the opt-out mechanisms and links provided.
Destination Greater Victoria has the right to disqualify entries that do not meet these guidelines, at their discretion.
Misrepresentation of age or residency will disqualify the submission. The following person(s) are NOT eligible to win the Contest: (a) employees, members of the Destination Greater Victoria Board of Directors, contractors, agents and/or representatives of Destination Greater Victoria, advertising and promotional agencies; (b) employees, agents, and/or representatives of any of the parties providing the contesting prize(s); (c) members of the immediate family (defined as a mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters and husband or wife), or any person with whom they are domiciled, of any individual described in a and b; (d) anyone who has won a Destination Greater Victoria Contest since December 15, 2022; and (e) anyone residing in a jurisdiction in which Contests of this nature are prohibited. Odds of being selected are dependent on the total number of eligible entries received by the Closing Date. The greater the number of eligible entries received, the lower the chances of being selected.
This Contest is void where prohibited by law. The Contest consists of a random draw and the answering of a skill-testing mathematical question.

4. HOW TO ENTER
Receive one (1) entry by visiting the Contest Landing Page (tourismvictoria.com/touchdown-contest) and filling out the supplied Contest Entry Form. Form fields are mandatory for entry into the contest. One entry per person. Multiple entries will be deemed invalid.
Destination Greater Victoria has the right to disqualify entries that do not meet these guidelines, at their discretion.
Entrant must provide a valid phone number and e-mail address with the Contest Entry form fields, and we must be able to notify the winner between 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2024, and 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Upon randomly selecting the winner, Destination Greater Victoria will ensure they have followed all entry requirements. In the case they have not, Destination Greater Victoria will draw another winner. No personal information will be asked following the submission of entry. Please note that (tourismvictoria.com/touchdown-contest) is the ONLY official landing pages associated with Destination Greater Victoria’s WestJet Touchdown Pacific Contest. Any impersonation can and should be reported.
IMPORTANT: Contest scams do occur. We will never ask for your credit card details, or any form of compensation. Be aware and vigilant to scamming activity.
By participating, you agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Destination Greater Victoria, which shall be final with respect to all issues relating to this Contest. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have complied with all the conditions contained in the Official Rules. Destination Greater Victoria is not responsible for telephone, computer, or network malfunction or error whether technical or human in nature, communication disruption, or other forces beyond the reasonable control of Destination Greater Victoria. Destination Greater Victoria and our agency partners are taking reasonable precautions to ensure that the data and information submitted through this contest is kept secure. Destination Greater Victoria reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this competition should a virus, bug or any other cause beyond the reasonable control Destination Greater Victoria corrupt the security or proper administration of the competition. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this competition is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Destination Greater Victoria reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

5. SELECTION OF WINNERS
One (1) winner from Canada will be selected from all eligible entrants who have filled out the Contest Landing Page’s Contest Entry Form, by way of a random draw.
Only one entry per entrant will be accepted.
The winner will be notified via phone call and via e-mail. If the winner doesn’t claim their prize by Tuesday, August 6th at 4:00 p.m. PST, a new winner will be drawn and contacted.
The prize can be used between Thursday, August 29, 2024, and Tuesday (hotel check-out and flight), September 3, 2024, only.

6. RANDOM SELECTION
Destination Greater Victoria will be randomly selecting one (1) winner from all Canadian entries, by means of a random draw out of all eligible entries received using Random Name Picker (namepicker.net).

7. TO BE DECLARED A WINNER
Before being declared a Winner of any prize, the Selected Entrant must correctly answer a mathematical, skill-testing question and submit a completed Declaration and Release Form confirming compliance with the Contest rules and acceptance of the prize as awarded, releasing Destination Greater Victoria from any and all liability in association with the Contest or the prize. The Release Form must identify the Winner, as well as each of the guests who will accompany the Winner. In the event that a selected entrant has not responded to claim his or her prize within five (5) days of the last communication attempt after a minimum of three (3) attempts by Destination Greater Victoria; or does not correctly answer the skill testing question; or if the selected entrant does not otherwise comply with the rules and regulations of the Contest, another random draw or draws will be conducted to select a replacement winner in the same manner. The prize will only be given to the confirmed winners. All decisions of Destination Greater Victoria shall be final.

8. PRIZE
The Contest Prize is for a maximum of four (4) guests. The WestJet Flight Voucher is available for travel into Victoria, BC on Thursday, August 29, 2024 with return travel on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. Fees, taxes and surcharges are the responsibility of guests travelling and must be paid for at the time of booking with a valid credit card. Baggage fees and cabin upgrades are not included in the Voucher. Full details are outlined in Schedule A.
Hotel accommodation at Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites is available for check in on Thursday, August 29, 2024, and checkout on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. A valid credit card is required at check in, to cover any charges outside of the room, fees and taxes included in the Prize.
Half-Day Whale Watching Tour for four with Eagle Wing Whale & Wildlife Watching Tours requires all parties to complete Eagle Wing’s waiver document prior to the Tour.

8. ARBITRATION AND CHOICE OF LAW
Except where prohibited by law, as a condition of participating in this competition, contestants agree that any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with this competition, or any claims submitted, shall be resolved exclusively by final and binding arbitration by one arbitrator pursuant to the provisions of the B.C. Commercial Arbitration Act, or any successor legislation that is in effect on the date of the notice to arbitrate. Any hearing will be held in Victoria, BC, Canada. The location of this Contest is British Columbia, Canada. The Contest takes place in, and prizes are awarded in British Columbia. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Official Rules, or the rights and obligation of contestants in connection with this competition, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

9. TERMINATION
Destination Greater Victoria reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, or modify the Contest rules and regulations at any time for any reason whatsoever. Should a component of the identified prize become unavailable, an equivalent value item/experience may be substituted by Destination Greater Victoria.

Additional Prize Conditions

WestJet Prize Voucher:
The WestJet Voucher (the “WestJet Voucher”) is valid for one (1) roundtrip flight for four (4) guests in Economy from any airport in Canada with summer WestJet operations to Victoria, BC (YYJ) on any regularly scheduled and marketed WestJet flight, and is subject to the following conditions (as specified by WestJet):

1. Fees, taxes and surcharges are the responsibility of guests traveling and must be paid for at the time of booking with a valid credit card. Your exclusive WestJet Voucher number is valid on any regularly scheduled WestJet marketed and operated flight. The WestJet Voucher does not include optional fees such as checked baggage or cabin upgrades. Please book early to maximize your flight options.

2. The WestJet Voucher is limited and subject to promotional space availability of eligible fare options and flight schedule. Not all flights have promotional space. The WestJet Voucher is not valid for redemption on WestJet Vacations’ packages, interline, code share, or charter flights.

3. The WestJet Voucher is valid for one (1) roundtrip flight for four (4) guests in Economy from any airport in Canada with summer WestJet operations to Victoria, BC (YYJ) on any regularly scheduled and marketed WestJet flight. All guests must travel together on the same itinerary, dates and flights.

4. Flights must be roundtrip to and from the same locations. Flights must depart from city A to Victoria and return from Victoria to city A.

5. The WestJet Voucher only be used on specified travel dates.

6. All bookings and travel must be completed by the expiry date indicated on the WestJet Voucher.

7. The WestJet Voucher cannot be extended. Additionally, changes to travel dates or guest names are not permitted once a booking has been confirmed.

8. Bookings made with the WestJet Voucher are not eligible for paid upgrades.

9. The WestJet Voucher becomes null and void if travel is cancelled once a booking is confirmed.

10. The guests booking the flight must be over the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence.

11. The WestJet Voucher must be taken as offered and is not redeemable for cash.

12. The WestJet Voucher cannot be sold. In the event that it has been sold, the WestJet Voucher will become null and void, and any flight bookings made with it will be cancelled immediately without notice or reimbursement. WestJet does not handle the payment, guarantee transactions, or buyer protection or seller certification, nor will WestJet be liable for the loss of funds resulting from a fraudulent transaction.

13. Guests travelling on the WestJet Voucher are not entitled to compensation amounts provided under passenger rights regimes. By redeeming this voucher, all guests travelling agree to release, and waive all claims against, WestJet relating to any and all liability, damage, or compensation entitlement arising under Canada's Air Passenger Protection Regulations.

14. WestJet and the other Released Parties are not responsible for lost or mishandled vouchers. Once the WestJet Voucher has been delivered to you, you are directly responsible for it.

Without limiting the foregoing, the following additional terms and conditions also apply:

• The confirmed winner and his/her guests are responsible for transportation to and from the gateway airport and all other expenses not expressly stated as included herein.

• Transportation is subject to availability, blackout periods, government restrictions and regulations, airline, airport or other transportation restrictions and regulations. The winner and his/her guest are responsible for all expenses other than those mentioned above as included including, but not limited to, other transportation, attractions, merchandise, souvenirs, travel insurance, travel visas and all other personal expenses of any kind. None of the Released Parties are responsible for, nor accept any liability whatsoever in relation to, any delay, postponement, suspension, rescheduling or cancellation, for any reason, of any flight(s) and neither the winner nor any other person or entity will be compensated in the event of such delay, cancellation or other event described herein. Other restrictions may apply.

• The WestJet Voucher is non-transferable and without limiting the foregoing, the WestJet Voucher may not be sold or traded, the WestJet Voucher must be taken as offered and cannot be substituted, redeemed or exchanged for cash, credit or alternative prizes, except in the Prize Suppliers sole discretion. WestJet reserves the right to substitute the WestJet Voucher with a prize of equal or greater value. No credit or reimbursement will be provided if the WestJet Voucher is not utilized in full. The WestJet Voucher cannot be combined with any other promotional offer or offers provided by WestJet.

• The WestJet Voucher is subject to all of the terms and conditions as stated by WestJet and will be delivered to the confirmed winner directly from the Contest Sponsor to the address/email address provided after the potential winner has been successfully contacted and notified of his/her Prize and has fully complied with the Rules (as determined by the Contest Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion). Shipped Prizes shall not be insured and neither Contest Sponsor nor any of the other Released Parties shall assume any liability whatsoever for a lost, damaged, or misdirected element of the Prize. All bookings/confirmations must be made through the Contest Sponsor’s designated representatives or as the Contest Sponsor may otherwise direct.

• The confirmed winner’s guest must: (a) be of the legal age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence (or have the consent of his/her parent/legal guardian to accompany the winner if the guest is under the legal age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence); and (b) sign (and have his/her parent/legal guardian sign if the guest is under the legal age of majority in his/her jurisdiction of residence) and return the Contest Sponsor’s release (by the date indicated on the release form) indicating that he/she waives all recourse against the Contest Sponsor and all of the other Released Parties relating to his/her participation in the Prize (including, without limitation, any travel related thereto).

• It is strongly recommended and encouraged by the Contest Sponsor that the confirmed winner and his/her guest obtain sufficient personal travel and medical insurance prior to departure. Transportation is subject to availability, blackout periods, government restrictions and regulations, airline, airport or other transportation restrictions and regulations.

The WestJet Voucher has an estimated potential retail value of $2,720.00 CAD – although the actual value will depend on the destination chosen and time of booking from originating city. Under no circumstance whatsoever will any difference between the actual and approximate retail values be awarded.
